Engineering Level 3 Triple Diploma
I really enjoy engineering and this course has taught me a lot. I like that LSFC is small and welcoming and the staff have been so supportive with my learning difficulties. I’d really like to do an apprenticeship next. My dream would be to work in renewable energy and design something that helps future generations.
Sport Level 3 Triple Diploma
Eighteen-year-old Thomas previously attended LSA Technology and Performing Arts College and has just completed the Sport Level 3 Triple Diploma.
“I want to teach sport so this programme was ideal. We’ve done work placements in both primary and high schools, which helped me decide which area to go into. We’ve also done lots of volunteer work, which looks great on your CV! I’m now looking forward to doing sports coaching at Leeds Beckett and getting my teaching degree.”
Early Years Educator/Children’s Play, Learning and Development Level 3 Triple Diploma
Seventeen-year-old Megan is studying the Early Years Educator/Children’s Play, Learning and Development Level 3 Triple Diploma. She previously attended LSA Technology and Performing Arts College.
“The fact there is only one exam is good and takes a lot of pressure off. The tutors are amazing – they show us how to get the best grades and make learning enjoyable. My work placement is at a local nursery and I’m learning skills I can apply to my future career (a midwife or primary school teacher).”
Performing Arts Level 3 Triple Diploma
Seventeen-year-old Kaitlyn, who previously attended LSA Technology and Performing Arts College, is studying the Performing Arts Level 3 Triple Diploma.
“I chose LSFC because of the small class sizes and the tutors – they’re so helpful. It’s been great, especially having an opportunity to perform at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre – that was an amazing experience. I want to make it in the acting industry and I really believe the experience I’ve had will help me to achieve that.”
Business Level 3 Triple Diploma
Seventeen-year-old Dylan joined LSFC from AKS Lytham Independent School. He is now in the second year of the Business Level 3 Triple Diploma.
“I love it here. It’s small and the tutors support you 100%. You get lots of time to do you work placement and stay up-to-date with coursework as well. I’ve always been interested in business – I’m looking at different universities now as I’d like to do either marketing or event management.”
NHS Cadetship (Nursing pathway)
Seventeen-year-old Amber is in the second year of the NHS Cadetship (Nursing pathway). She previously attended Archbishop Temple School in Preston.
“Everyone knows each other here and the tutors are really good. I spend two days a week on placement – I’ve worked at Blackpool Victoria Hospital and Clifton Hospital, which has been great – the staff are all so friendly. I want to be an A&E nurse and this programme will help me to get to uni.”
