BTEC Performing Arts
The real plus points have been the small, interactive classes and the fact we always get to do something different. This year I’ll be applying to drama schools as eventually I want to do TV acting or screenwriting. This course helps as it shows you how to do those things, writing scripts and running a show for example. It’s great.
I really enjoy engineering and this course has taught me a lot. I like that LSFC is small and welcoming and the staff have been so supportive with my learning difficulties. I’d really like to do an apprenticeship next. My dream would be to work in renewable energy and design something that helps future generations.
BTEC Sport and Exercise
I want to be a PE teacher so this course was ideal and LSFC was close to home. The tutors have been really helpful and we’ve done work placements in both primary and high schools, which help you decide which area to go into. It’s good preparation for uni and I’ll be applying to various universities this year.
BTEC Health and Social Care
The teachers are great here - so helpful - and I don’t think I would have done as well as I have without them. You get a lot of one-on-one time. I’ve wanted to be a nurse for as long as I can remember, but it was my work placement at Blackpool Victoria Hospital that made me decide I want to work in A&E.
BTEC Public Services
The good thing about this course was learning more about my chosen career area – the RAF – and about all the different entry routes. It also teaches you analytical and evaluation skills to prepare you for uni. I’ve now got lots of options open to me, including intelligence and photographic analysis in the RAF police.

It’s been amazing, I’ve loved everything about it and it’s given me so much confidence. It’s changed my life actually because I was so shy before. I’ve got a place on B&FC’s BA (Hons) Acting and then I want to do teacher training – my teachers at LSFC were so great they’ve inspired me to become a teacher myself.
